MEET TOM HOPCROFT
Committed to ensuring all students get the support they need
I am the son and grandson of educators. I was an adjunct lecturer at Northeastern University. I served on the Executive Committee and chaired the Fiscal Affairs and Administrative Policy Committee on the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. I served as chairman of a charitable education foundation focused on STEM for middle and high school girls.
I am the proud father of two boys, a 4th grader at Lynch @ Parkhurst and a 9th grader at Winchester High School. My wife, Victoria, and I have been active members of this community for 18 years, and have gained valuable firsthand experience in navigating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans to support our children's needs with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and executive functioning.
I am a licensed attorney, CEO of a climate-focused educational non-profit and board member of a robotics innovation center. I formerly led the state's largest technology association, where I created and led an award-winning board bootcamp for women, LGBTQ+, and tech leaders of color. I've been an outspoken leader in the community on diversity, equity, inclusion, and social justice, particularly with regard to the tech sector. Learn more on my personal site.
